Thanksgiving!

Yes, I know that it is almost Christmas and I am barely doing Thanksgiving pictures, sorry. We ate Thanksgiving dinner with my family and then we headed out to Malta for the rest of the weekend. We had fun playing games, visiting with each other, and eating lots of yummy food.

Happy Halloween 2009!

Happy Halloween!
We went to the pumpkin walk down at the North Bingham Countay Park and walked through and saw all the decorating scenes that were made with pumpkins. Then at 4:00 the started handing out all the Halloween Candy. We had lots of fun!
Dyllon is a Dragon!

Brianna is a Pink Poodle!

Matthew is a Vampire!
This year was fun dressing the kids up for Halloween. Matthew wanted to be a vampire and I have to say, I am pretty proud of my face painting job. He was so excited to have blood coming from his mouth. He would ask about every 3 mins, can we put the blood on yet? I would just say, "that is the last thing we put on, be patient" He is a very presistent little boy. We borrowed my nieces Pink Poodle ears and then I bought the pink sweat outfit and we put together the rest of the outfit. I got Dyllons costume from Old Navy. We started the day off by going to Kings's and getting the kids picture taken and get them entered in the best Halloween Costume. Ther are three prizes and we should know if anyone won in a couple more days. Then we went to the Pumpkin Walk. After that we hit three houses and ended up at my mom and dads on the fourth house. Brianna started not feeling good so we came home and got the kids to bed by 7:15. We regretted that because with the time change they were all up by 6:30. We stayed home from church because Brianna still had a fever. She did not go to school today and we took her to the doctor and she has strep throat. When I got home Dyllon started complaining that his throat hurt and now he is running a fever and he has thrown up twice, so I am off to the doctors again when Robert gets home from work. Hopefully I don't get sick because I am in charge of one of the projects at Super Saturday this weekend. Well off to make chicken noodle soup!

Happy Belated Birthday Dad Hall

So I got so mad at myself. I took the camera out to Malta for the Roberts Dad birthday and I did not even get it out, I was so mad. I do have to say though that it was a lot of fun to have all of his siblings there for the Saturday birthday lunch, minus his sister Arlene. We hate having them live so far away and wish they could have been there. Friday Charles and Annette, John and Holly family, and Robert and I family all showed up out to Malta, and then on Saturday Corey and Kerry's family showed up. Richard and Marlene live out there now so of course they were all ready there. We all had a big birthday lunch for him and had a fun time visting. I hope that you (Dad) had a good time and was suprised. We love you and appreciate all the things that you have done for our family.

I can't believe it snowed today!

Well I don't have any pictures to prove it, but it did snow today. Yesterday was such a beautifull day, and then today it was way cold. We even have to turn our heater on so we will not freeze tonight. With the change of weather means sickness. Dyllon already has his first cold, poor thing. Well I would rather deal with that then the flu though. The flu has been going around a lot lately, and we even have had three confirmed cases of the swine flu in the High school here in Shelley. Hopefully we can stay away from that. We our out of school for 2 weeks due to spud harvest so hopefully everyone can get feeling better out there. The kids our doing great. Matthew and Brianna love school, and Dyllon asks me everyday when he gets to go to school. Some days he will put on an old back pack of Matthews and walk around the house with it full of books and toys. He is so cute and I wish he would quit growing up so fast. Next year will be hard when he gets to go to preschool. We got our garden all picked last night so nothing will freeze, and we have lots of spahgetti squash. Roberts work is still good. He is still considered temporary but hopefully soon he can get on permantly. He really likes his job and so do I. He has great hours and we get to spend more time with him. Well that is about it for tonight.

Pictures of the kids!

Today I was trying to get some cute pictures of the kids, I have gotten behind on just portrait pictures and this is what I got. They did pretty good but all my kids have fake smiles. We really have to work hard on getting them to smile. Brianna would wine and Dyllon would not hold still. Matthew did pretty good, but he would try to mess around. Now I know why I don't try to take a lot of pictures of them. It is such a fight.

Hi I have not blogged for a while!

I have not taken any new pictures but I felt like blogging today! I got this great idea from another blog and I really like it. She usually has pictures of her kids but she just journals on her blog and let's people know what is going on in her life, and that is why I am making my blog private most likely. E-mail me if you would like an invite. shallmk@hotmail.com. School is going great for the kids. Its fun to see how differant Brianna and Matthew are. Brianna does not fight doing her homework, and Matthew still does. My sister Kim told me a few funny stories about Matthew the other day and I thought I would share. I guess there is a girl that chases him around at recess and tries to kiss him and my niece who is in second grade caught this happening one day. She ran up to Matthew and grabbed him and said "Matthew you can not date until you are sixteen years old". I thought it was pretty funny. Then my sister was doind this ladies hair that help test Matthew in school and they were testing letter sounds. I guess when the test was done Matthew looked up and said" This is the stupidest test I have ever taken". WOW! He is quite the character. Dyllon is becoming a major mamas boy because we spend all day together. He is so cute though and I love all my children so much. I am so lucky to be a mom and be able to stay home with them.

Brianna and Matthew's first day at school!

Today was a sad but happy day. Matthew and Brianna started school. I was fine when Matthew got on the bus but, when Brianna got on, I cried like a little baby. My only and my baby girl is growing up. Time flies so fast! Here is Brianna and her friend Ellie. They went to preschool together last year and this year they have the same teacher.

I Forgot my Camera, Sorry

So last Saturday all day Matthew kept asking us to go fishing. We were trying to do other things around the house and kept telling him not right now. Well after being asked about a million dozen times, we packed up our fishing stuff and went to my parents dock and went fishing. The kids were so excited. We got down there and Robert had to get all the fishing pools ready with hooks and then when he was done I would put a worm on. I got the first fishing pool and cast it out and set it on a log for Brianna. Matthew got his and he cast it out, and it hit the water, and he set his real, and walla, he had a fish and reeled him in. Seriously it was like 45 seconds. He was so excited. It was a nice brown and we kept it and ate it. It was pretty good! But after he caught we heard, "Can we go home". You got to be kidding me. You asked to go fishing all day, and we came and it has been 10 minutes and he wants to go home. Well we did stay for about 1 and 1/2 hours and caught a sucker, but it was all fun. And during that 1 1/2 hours the all the kids, can we go home, Matthew caught a fish, lets go eat it. It was a nice family outing, and we had lots of fun.

Fun watches, and fresh produce!

Here a picture of some fresh produce out of our garden. Love tomatoes, squash, zuccini, and I don't know why my mom gave me cucumber plants because that is one of the vegetables I just don't like much, and neither do my children. Oh well, we have been giving them away to friends so they will not go to waste.

I bought a whole bunch of beads because I am making really cute watch bands that you can interchange with really cute watch faces. They are so easy to make and fun. Here is a bracelet I made Brianna.
Here are some of the watch faces that I have made. My sister Kim is going to try to sale some in her salon for me.

Sorry no pictures.

So I have no pictures right now, but I do plan on added some later today or tomorrow. I just had a few minutes to write a quick note. So I joined a weight loss challenge and it laster for 7 weeks. I went to the finale weigh in last night and even though I did not win anything I did lose 20.8 pounds and 14 inches total. I am very proud of myself and I am going to keep on going. I have so much energy and I just feel better about myself. I think the competition was rigged though. I am not saying this because I did not win anything but the person who won is a 10 year old boy. The winner was based on body fat % lost not the actuall pounds, but can you lose 5.5 % body fat total and only have lost .1 pounds. I don't think so, but if it is possible then good for him. The garden is going great, we have been enjoying strawberries, cucumbers, crooked neck squash, rasberries, peas, and tomatoes. We have also enjoyed some of the potatoes in the field next to our house. We are so blessed to be able to grow such a great garden and enjoy the yummy fresh produce. Well got to go take the kids to swim lessons, just two more days and we are done. I will post again later today or tomorrow with some pictures.

HE IS SO TALENTED!

We are so blessed with the talent Robert has been blessed with. He is great to have around and can do and fix anything. We love him so much. He dicided to weld a swingset together for the kids this summer and they love it. He even welded the glider together. He made up the design in his head and it all worked out great. Our kids love it. Matthew especially loves the monkey bars. He can already skip one in between when going across. I really think he is part monkey sometimes with all the climbing he does.

This is a picture of our tomato plants and we have strawberries too!

Our Garden! We have a few types of squash, onions, peppers, lots of corn, and lots of peas. And we are even trying an artichoke plant. I like artichokes but Robert does not. We have already been harvesting lots of peas, and when the farmers are done spraying the potato field next to us, we will soon be eating yummy peas and potatoes.

WE SAW BIGFOOT!

On the way home from the zoo, we saw BIGFOOT the Monster Truck. The kids thought it was pretty cool. We even went inside the tire store and got a autographed picture from the driver himself. It was fun to see Matthew's face. He was grinning from ear to ear.

This is the semi that carries Bigfoot.

The Zoo

Yesterday we decided to go to the Pocatello zoo. We had lots of fun with the kids. Here is a picture with them and a coyote in the background. The animals were awesome to see. We saw a black bear, a grizzley bear, and lots more. We loved it!
We also had a picnic before gonig through the zoo. We saw this squirrel and Robert fed it a frito chip. He loved it, and we loved watching him eat it. It was pretty fun.
Me and Brianna!

Robert, Matthew, and Dyllon.

Playing at the Park

I have been watching a boy a few days out of the week and we decided to go to the park and have a picnic. I did not take very many pictures and this is the only one that is really worth putting on here. They had lots of fun and I know we will be going to the park more often this summer. I also had my niece Lexie with us.

Our whole Family

So I have not blogged for a while so I decided to post a picture of our whole family. On Mother's Day we all went to my parents house and had a great lunch. We were all there. My Grandpa and Grandma were there along with most of the cousins on my moms side. My parents have 15 grandkids and Crystel is expecting number 4 for her and 16 grandkids for my parents. There are 8 girls and 7 boys so we hope she has another boy to even it up. Plus that will give her two boys and two girls. We love living so close to each other and spending time with one another. It was a lot of fun to be with the Cook side of the Family.

Our Wyoming Trip

Robert and I are heading to Kemmerer Wyoming so he can take a test for his work. I took a picture of us on are way there. I had lots of fun taking pictures. It was a three in a half hour drive there. We had lots of fun spending time with each other. He says he feels like he did pretty good, so we hope he passed. Here are some pictures of our little adventure.

We ate at this little cafe. We both did not get good feelings when we ate there. They all looked up and stared at us. It was weird. We both got there french dip sandwich. The meat was great, but the bun was not so great. The french fries were great to, so all in all, it was not that bad.

We stayed at the Best Western. The map I printed said it was between these two streets but we could never find it. We finally had to stop and ask for direction after 15 minutes of looking for it. We found it. It was really nice, it has only been open since April 20th.

We saw lots of Antelope heading on are way home. I told Robert I wanted a picture of one and he would never stop. He finally did because he saw one and her baby. If you look closely you can see them in both pictures. I need a new camera to get better close ups. Plus we have been having a lot of problems with the one we have. Hopefully this Christmas!

We pulled over to let people pass us because we wanted to go slow and enjoy the scenary. There was a nice lady that took our picture for us. My kids aked if we were standing in the water because it looks like it. The Hoback River was just a roaring with lots of water.

It was so beautiful and green. These pictures are when we were going towards palisades. There is still snow on the higher mountains there.
